i-tri girls are taught to visualize their goals and define what it takes to achieve them

Mentoring Day is an opportunity to introduce our i-tri Girls to incredible professional women from all different career fields and backgrounds.

Mentors and girls start the day with an inspirational Keynote Address followed by an address from one of our Alumni. Then mentors and girls come together in small groups for “talking circles,” where the girls get to ask questions and learn more about the careers and pathways and learnings that led them to where they are today. And finally, the NETWORKING session! A favorite for the girls and the mentors!

After the networking session is complete, the girls go home-but the mentors, now just as inspired by one another, are invited to stay for a reception where they are able to meet, talk about the day and network with each other!

i-tri is thrilled to welcome Mireya and Sofia D'Angelo to Mentoring Day on April 13 as Keynote Speakers

Sofia D’Angelo is a popstar from New York City who started singing at just 12 and formed her own band, MICHELLE, at 14! Their hit song “UNBOUND” has been featured on BBC Radio 1 and Apple Music Radio, and their music is on playlists like Lorem and New Music Friday. But wait, there’s more – Sofia’s also launching her solo career with songs like “Take It Back” and “Jane Goodall,” produced by amazing talents. Her lyrics are deep and relatable, covering everything from feelings to late-night adventures. She’s been featured in Vogue.com and Hamptons Magazine and i-tri is excited to welcome her to our Mentoring Day as Keynote Speaker. We are looking forward to hearing more about her in-person.

Mireya D’Angelo, Sofia’s mom, works in finance at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New York City, where she helps people with their money. Mireya has worked in different banks and as a lawyer. She started her own company as well. But Mireya is not just about business. Taking care of herself and her mental and physical health is also important to her. She teaches spin classes at Soul Cycle. She helps out with important organizations like Planned Parenthood and Guild Hall of East Hampton. Mireya and her family, including Sofia, live in New York City.
